Hettinger Street Fest - Held the Saturday following Memorial Day in conjunction with Hettinger's Annual City-wide Rummage Sale. Event includes a 3 0n 3 basketball tournament, burgers & brats chamber fundraiser at noon, double header baseball games, car display, and other activities.
July 4th Celebration - This huge 3 day event (July 2, 3 & 4) has become a region-wide celebration with a parade, variety shows, games, local entertainment, a FREE noon meal, and nightly dances with a steak supper served in the park. The evening of the 4th is topped off with the largest fireworks display in Southwest North Dakota sponsored by the Hettinger Jaycees. This display is shot over Mirror Lake giving the crowd a spectacular view of the fireworks.
Chamber Rodeo & Bull 0 Rama - This is held the first weekend in August in conjunction with the Adams County Fair. The town comes alive with cowboys and cowgirls during this event. The 2010 Bull O Rama will be on the evening of the 6th with the rodeo on the evening of the 7th. Hettinger's rodeo ranks as one of the largest NDRA rodeos in the state.
Pitchfork Fondue - The Chamber annually holds a steak supper at the Hettinger Country Club in August or September, however, this is no ordinary steak supper. The Chamber Ag Committee places 12 oz. ribeye steaks on the end of a pitchfork into a kettle of boiling oil, giving these steaks a taste like no other! The 2010 event has not been scheduled yet but traditionally is on a Saturday evening the first part of September.
The Wake Up Santa Parade & Fireworks - This special event is held annually the Friday night after Thanksgiving. Fireworks brighten the sky to kick off this event. Lighted parade entries march down Main Street, featuring Santa and Mrs. Claus, who after the parade pass out candy to the children at the Fire Hall. Everyone is invited to the Fire Hall for hot chocolate. Many stores are open until 8:00PM for your shopping convenience.
